Though as good as AMD Ryzen CPU really is. The new line of processors still couldn’t keep up with their Intel counterparts in gaming. With Intel Core i7 7700K being the best when it came to 1080P gaming. Looks like game developers have started optimizing their games on the new Ryzen CPU architecture. Where, as a result we finally saw some favorable performance from AMD Ryzen compared to Intel.
New benchmarks of AMD Ryzen 1800X just arrived on the internet. Where the newly optimized game called Ashes of the Singularity was benchmarked with the top of the line AMD Ryzen 1800X. Where the Ryzen 1800X is said to have gain 33% more performance.
During these past few weeks the only downside that AMD Ryzen faced compared to Intel. Was that in 1080P gaming the AMD Ryzen processors could keep up, which made a lot of people worried. AMD did address to this issue by saying that games needed to be optimized on the new Ryzen architecture. And that the company is working with a lot of developers to make that happen.
The new benchmark was performed on Ashes of the Singularity new V2.11.x build. Which would also be available to everyone on steam this coming Thursday. With the new optimized game AMD Ryzen 1800X was able to achieve an average of 40 frames per second. An improvement over the average 35 frame per second performance before. Do note that the game is being benchmarked with Crazy graphics preset on 1080P resolution. While the system being used was equipped with an AMD Ryzen 1800X, 16GB RAM @ 2933MHz and a GTX 1080 graphics card.
Looks like AMD wasn’t bluffing regarding their much needed optimization after all. Though I would suggest waiting till Thursday to see the benchmark for your selves. But if AMD have achieved something like this. Then Intel sure is up for a challenge from the red team.
