Google play coupling with third- party Android stores, making trouble for Apple app store puling it behind in terms of app revenue. App Annie reported that Apple app store has been surpassed by Google play in 2017 app revenue.
In addition to this App Annie predicted that App Store will continue its revenue on top generating more than $60 million on gross till 2021, but the main reason continuously pushing Google Play forward is the users of third- party android app stores. Amazingly China is taking more part regarding this as it is the most populated country on globe. Mexico, Brazil and Indonesia are listed as other emerging markets in this regard.
“What a lot of people don’t realize is how huge China is,” said Danielle Levitas, App Annie’s senior vice president of research. “Even if device sales slow, it’s the biggest smartphone channel, and that’s not going to change.” According to CNBC report.
Third- party android app stores didn’t made much revenue in 2016 as they onLY generated $10 billion but App Annie predicts that it will double up to $20 billion this year 2017 and will grow up to $36 billion till 2021. Android user using third- party android app stores get access through Internet brands like Huawei, Tencent, Xiaomi, Baidu and others.
All Android users including Third- party android users will generate approx. $41 billion revenue, much more than previous year which was $27 in total. Apple Apps store users spend $34 billion in 2016 and they will enhance this up to $40 billion this year.
App Annie expects that all app store user will generate traffic of across $139 till 2021 with app downloads surpassing 352.9 billion.
