Facebook is empowering its subsidiary app, Messenger every passing day. The app which started off as a normal messaging app which served as the way of communication in inbox between two Facebook users is now taking a solo flight. In addition to chatting with your friends, you can add people on Messenger directly without having to bother about their Facebook profile. Recently, the stories feature just like Snapchat and Instagram has been added in the app and it is slowly proceeding towards becoming a totally independent app. The latest addition which is expected to become a part of the Messenger app is the Group Chatbots.
What Are Chatbots?
Chatbots were included in the Messenger app almost a year ago and their primary task was to reply to a message automatically until the appropriate person was away. Companies and businesses used this feature to send a quick response to their customers whenever they asked a query. Some people used this feature to have some fun around by setting up funny messages as a quick response.
Group Chatbots Can Be Pretty Helpful
Most of you may have already picked the idea of what a Group Chatbot can be capable of. Group chatbot may be created with generalized logical names so that people can search them directly on the Messenger app and become a member of it. For example, there is a live cricket match going on and you want to keep yourself updated with the score every minute, you may join the specific Messenger chat group and the Chatbot will keep you replying automatically with the updated score. The feature seems pretty interesting as you won’t have to bother a friend, again and again, to keep you updated. This is technology for you!
