Many people went to the mosque and decide their own things. The most part is people can do what they want. People have to manage their Muslim family and friends. Many people allow to his wife to wear hijab.
We cannot say that Islamic countries and communities use Hijab to control their women. But in many cases, there are many women wears hijab due to the family forcing.
It also happens with the 17 years old women Lamyaa from Pennsylvania and she received some harassment messages on twitter of being Muslim.
She told that,
Personally, being an Arab Muslim woman in America, these sort of hateful messages aren’t uncommon.
She receives some messages on April 14th, 2017 from strangers online, Here are the messages you see below,
So she decided to tell her father that she is going to take off her Hijab, Here’s the screenshot conversation with his father,
Lamyaa: Baba, I want to tell you something.
Lamyaa’s father: Talk to me [asks her if she’s OK in Arabic]
Lamyaa: Yeah I’m okay. I was thinking. I want to take my hijab off.
Lamyaa’s father: Sweetheart that’s not my decision to make. That’s no man’s decision to make. If it’s what you feel like you want to do, go ahead. I’ll support you no matter what. Is everything okay? Did something happen?
After Lamyaa posted her conversation online, it’s received over 140,000 retweets and more than 300,000 likes.
These are some of the messages on a tweet that they support to Lamyaa and his dad.
Others were saying that the isolated hatred Muslim
